Ladies, Emma is so sick with a cold. she has a fever, runny nose, a little cough ,sore throat(i can hear it in her voice) shes crying . i have been holding her since last night.
she is eating and drinking fine tho. i have been giving her infant tylenol only. plus humidiphier and bath and tilted her mattres. Is there any meds you can give a baby this young? I also have been putting micro amounts of vix near her nose. its been almost 8 years since i had an infant. any new safe meds?
The whole house all the children are very ill.
please excuse all the typos as emma is in my arms and i am typing with one hand...lol
i cant reach all the keys like this..
Thanks ladies Some of these ideas are something I am going to try. At the moment she is FINALLY sleeping. I jacked up the front of her bassinet so she is sleeping at an angle and let her take a nice steamy shower with me and I could tell she could finally breath. Then I handed her off to DH and he put on her lotion and cuddled until I got out of the shower and then she fell asleep after she finished her milk. My poor baby! My other children are all sick to. Its so hard to see an infant go threw this....
Yes, you are doing pretty much everything. I also massage Luyando with towel dipped in very warm (nearly hot) water. I put it on my skin to make sure its not too hot. I press it on her chest and back couple of times and then rub her chest, back, and feet with baby vicks vapor rub. Wear a socks on her feet and incline her bed. Hope she and the rest of the family feel better soon.
