Ok, please don't hate me, moms that are still having to get up several times with their little ones, but Emmy has been sleeping through the night for the past 4 days. First night, I thought it was a fluke! We go to bed around 10pm and she used to wake up around 2 am to nurse and for a diaper change. But now she sleeps until about 5:30, when we get up for the day!
I'm really afraid this will reduce my supply. Will it? I actually woke her up at 4am yesterday to nurse because I was leaking so badly. Lol. If there is a chance this will reduce my supply, I'd rather wake her up at 2 and nurse her. She goes right back to sleep, so it wouldn't be a problem. I'd actually rather her wake up once so I can change her and feed. Lol.

I always wondered this myself. There are times Jonah STTN but then times he doesn't. I'm pumping right now because he's still asleep lol.

I usually pump out one side first thing in the am too and then feed her the other... I let dh feel my boobs this am and he couldn't believe how hard they were. Lol they had about 9 hrs of milk in them!

I think it will reduce the supply, but you will still have enough. That's the great thing about BF... always what you need. If she starts needing more, again, you'll start making more as long as you offer the breast everytime she seems like she wants it.

That's exactly what I do. He wakes at about 5:30 nurses on one side then passes back out..then I pump the other side

I have woken Madalyn up before! But she's also slept through a number of times, so I just go with the flow!

I agree with the others... as long as you are offering the breast whenever she is hungry, your body will regulate the milk supply accordingly. And like the others, if I want to build my freezer stash, 1st thing in the morning is often the easiest time for me to pump. Jamison is still not sleeping longer than a 4 hour stretch... usually more like 2-3 hours at a time. I would be fine with that if it weren't for the fact that Josiah is on a different sleep schedule than Jamison. THAT is what makes me so tired!

Yes, most days all three of us take a nap together Some days they are out of sync with naps though.
