I just read that it burns inside if you use rechargeable batteries. This is a fire hazard! I'm not sure if we are allowed to link other forums, but I read it on one. If you google it, you can find info. From what I have read, it has not happened with regular batteries. You can also find a video that shows what happens on youtube.

YIKES! Claire had one of those but I threw it out because it quit working...I'm glad we don't have it anymore!

My 5 year old likes it and sleeps with it, and we use rechargeables in it. I had no idea. That's scary. I guess we'll have to do something different!

We have it, but aren't using rechargeables, so I think we are okay.

That's Q's favorite thing to sleep and nap with. Thank goodness we don't use rechargeable batteries

Wow! That is scary. I'm never leaving Ares alone with it again! (even though i haven't used rechargeable batteries, still) Thanks for sharing.
