My in-laws being spanish have translated E's name to Elias and they say "eh-lee-ahs" so its so weird to me the way you say it lol
That's actually funny. We know another Elias and his name is pronounced Eh-lee-us. The only difference really is the lee vs. lye between our boys. They call their Elias by Eli instead more though. I only knew the name as Ee-lye-iss before that little boy! But I would probably be more okay with that as a "mispronunciation" because there are TWO correct pronunciations for his name. Ah-lee-iss sounds a lot closer to Alice than anything else (having trouble typing out the pronunciation we get), and they're always looking for a little girl, not a curly blond headed boy! (well.... they were... our rash of dr. visits this last 6 months has the whole office staff very familiar with our family now though, LOL)
