Happy Mothers' Day, mamas!

What did everybody do? Any fun presents?

We went over to my mom's place. She made us brunch. We had scrambled eggs, bacon, cantaloupe, and a gluten-free cinnamon roll for me. DH bought me a really pretty opal bracelet (October's birthstone). He also got me 2 sweet cards - one from Madalyn and one from him. He did a good job.

We dedicated both of our daughters at church this morning. Then whole extended family came back to our house for lunch. It was a great day.

That sounds great! I had a terrible day. We didn't do anything special and I didn't get any love. Granted, my birthday was 4 days ago and my husband spoiled me. But a card or planned ice cream would have been appreciated. My husband did cook dinner, but that's not cutting it. I cook dinner every day. I was super irritable today too. Woke up in a bad mood and it hasn't left. DHs lack of love didn't help, and he even had the nerve to get in to a parenting argument implying that his feelings were superior to how I do things. I'm happy that my husband failed to tell me that he gave the cats their last can of cat food before I went to the grocery store to buy ingredients for my own mothers day meal (EYE ROLL), because I just ran out again for some and got myself a huge bar of Cadbury chocolate.

Sorry, Kristen, that stinks!

We did dinner for me on Saturday. Sunday we did lunch with DH's family and went to put flowers at my mom's grave. I got cards and flowers from DH and Sean. It was as good as the first Mother's Day without my mom was going to be.
