Who is using sippy cups now? Does your baby "get it?" What kind are you using and how much are they taking from it?

Unlike his older brother who gave up bottles at 4 months cold turkey, Jamison is still perfectly happy with a bottle when needed, so I'm not in any rush to introduce a sippy cup. He is still just barely started on solids, so he is only getting fluids from a container if I am at work, which ends up being no more than 3 bottles a week. The rest of the time, I am bf-ing.

Luyando has been using sippy cups since about 4 month old. I think she gets it; she sucks it when you give to her. She takes only a mouthful of water and that's it. I am thinking of squeezing some oranges in it for her as well. DD1 had 1/2 to 1 freshly squeezed orange daily but I've had the time to do the same for poor luyando plus my squeezer does not work with the voltage here

I give the twins a straw sippy with water after meals. They use them as chew toys, though, and don't "get it" yet.

Coleson has been using a sippy cup since about 6 months. He likes the ones that just flow into his mouth w/o any work. lol. But he is starting to actually sip the other spill proof ones. We use the NUK one. Thats his favorite.

We use the Playtex Lil Gripper straw cups. Sean loves it and can drink from it. Only took about 5 tries before he got it. He only drinks about a half oz at a time and I tend to only remember to give it to him when we're in a restaurant so he has something to play with.

Jonah is using the Lansinoh straw cup. He "gets it" and loves it. I put a little bit of water in it during a meal. He's been using it for a month.

She refuses. She'll cry, because she can't suck as easy as she can on a bottle... however she sucks up water through a straw. It's weird haha

Melody just got started on sippy cups last week. She loves it, when she's not grumpy. She got it as soon as it touched her mouth

Ruby has a Playtex Lil Gripper and can get a sip from it here and there. She acts very surprised and looks at me, shocked until I say "good girl!" and then she smiles and tries again. I offer her it with water every time I give her solids.

He uses a straw cup and he loves it! He drinks a few sips of water throughout the day and seems to enjoy it... but right now, because he is still mainly BFing still, he doesn't "need" it, so its just playtime for him.

Annabelle only took a bottle at daycare, and we ditched that at 5 months. Shes a pro at sippys. We use the Nuk and Nuby brands.

I have a Nuby one for Michael. I don't use it much with him. I have to hold it for him because he won't hold it himself. He will go to town on a regular cup though! If I hold a regular cup of water he grabs it and puts his mouth on it!
