Some of you might remember I found a lump in my breast almost a year ago, when I was pregnant. I had a follow up after Ruby was born and the lump had grown a little bit. I went for my second follow up today and thankfully the lump shrank a tiny bit. They said since it's stable, I don't need another follow up until a year from now. If I am done nursing then and it's still there, they will biopsy it, but assuming it's a lactating adenoma, it should just shrink up when I am done nursing. They said there is no way to say "for sure" that it's not cancerous unless they biopsy it or it goes away, but obviously cancerous tumors don't change for the better. They assured me that if there had been anything worrisome, we would have biopsied it today. It's always such a draining day when I have to go to the breast center and get checked out with an ultrasound. I am so relieved it hasn't grown since I was there last. PHEW.
