Agreed. Absolutely ridiculous. And I'll tell you what: seeing her belly "natural" like that, the way it should look a day after giving birth, makes me love her even more. They could have easily "hidden" it more but she chose to look that way. Hats off to her. She's a beautiful woman.
Seriously... she's a mother. She looks like most mothers do the day after they give birth. The royal family is very much a "NORMAL" family (as much as they are in the spotlight). The queen even takes note of things as simple as thank you drawings made by children (speaking from experience-- we were given a tour of the hangars by an RAF member, he moved back to the UK in the 2 weeks before we sent our thank yous to him, and he posted them in the UK and the queen noted them and asked where they had come from and why when she toured the RAF buildings). They aren't "above normal people", they just happen to be born or married into the right place to get a bunch of attention, and I really wish people would just leave them be.
I kind of feel like she tried to cover it with that dress and didn't actually intend to flaunt it like everyone is saying she did. The dress has a high waist, and it hangs looser from it. I could see how she purchased the dress thinking it would cover things up well but that it sort of backfired and everyone assumed she intended to flaunt it. I don't know, the rest of her was so dolled up and perfect that I don't give her "that" much credit for being realistic or inspirational for anyone.
mama to 5 yr old DS1 , 3 year old DS2 , and nursling DD .
I think she was the perfect balance. Knowing those photos would become iconic as did the ones with Diana/William, she had to look put together, she is a princess. I thought she looked beautiful, radiant, and not too fussy. Kudos to her!
