Does anyone here have a babysitter?
How did you go about finding them?
What is their hourly rate?
How often do you use them?

Does anyone here have a babysitter? Yes we have one main one & a back-up

How did you go about finding them? Our main baby-sitter worked at the daycare where the girls go, she is 23 & a real teacher now, but still single so she still baby-sits. I adore her & so do the girls. My back-up is a girl I baby-sat growing up. I pratically nannied she & her siblings

What is their hourly rate? $10/hr

How often do you use them? Try to go out once a month, but only need a sitter if my parents are busy

None here. Our baby sitter is not dependable. When we need her, she's never around to answer her phone. It really annoys me, we've only had a total of 4 dates with just us :/ When we move to FL it'll be a lot different as we'll have my parents to help out when we need it, which is desparately now lol

Just my mom. Not sure I would feel comfortable with anyone else right now.

No babysitters here, either. We don't have family here, so it is kind of a bummer. We have only been on one date together without kids since Claire was born three years ago, so we really need to find someone!!

We don't have a babysitter except for when my mom visits. I have a hard time trusting people after some of the news stories I hear. DH is the same way.

None yet. I've just started leaving him with DH! Not for lack of trusting DH but because I don't want to leave him.

So ten bucks and hour is the rate now? I have my teens babysit different siblings at different ages. But for the babies like Emma it has to be my 15,21, or 23 year old.We do pay certain kids for certain things. Some times I trade for one of them to babysit for something they want. It would be very easy to take advantage of them because they love their little siblings so much and enjoy playing and watching them. But as long as I can do SOMETHING to repay them I don't feel like they are being taking advantage of.

We have 1 full time sitter & 2 backups. All of them are teachers at the kids daycare...our full time sitter is Madilyn's lead teacher and she was Ryan's lead also, so she's like family now, lol. We try to go out 1-2 times a months for a few hours to dinner or whatever. Our full time sitter we pay $20/hr on Fri/Saturday nights or $15 during the week. The backups we pay $15/hr for the weekends. Our closest family is 8hrs away, so a sitter is a must for us and we trust them all very much. We didn't use a sitter with Ryan until he was a year...Madilyn's been a different story. Date nights are a must!
