I don't have a formal birth story written up but her entrance in the world was very different than I expected! Being my third baby I was expecting a very quick labor but things just would not progress! I started having contractions around 8 am when I was meeting with my son's teacher. They were consistently 5-7 minutes apart the entire day and wouldn't get closer together despite membrane sweeps and walking all around the woods for a few miles. Finally things got really uncomfortable and I was tired so we went to the hospital around 10pm. With the help of some pitocin, she finally arrived soon after midnight. It was such a long and exhausting day but she was so worth it! I was so worried about hemorhaging, but everything went just fine with lots of precautions and I was able to get up and walk around sooner than I was able to after my sons were born. I felt great!
