What are you doing for your child's birthday cake? Are you buying it or making it from scratch? If you are doing it from scratch, which recipe are you using? Are you going to worry about things like sugar and artificial colors or are you just going to have fun with it? Any photo inspiration to share?
mama to 5 yr old DS1 , 3 year old DS2 , and nursling DD .
Just getting a store one. She started half full milk, half breastmilk this week and has done well with it so she'll be fine. Really she's not really tried cake before and I doubt if anything will end up in her mouth; we'll see.
She,s tried cake before at our friend in CO's 1 year birthday and loved it. We are getting a smash cake for tomorrow's photo shoot with my best friend from HS doing it. .. and then when it's her bday we are getting a cake + small/smash cake that comes with it for her.
Thank you *Sharon* for the siggy
Sean has never had cake before but he's had all the ingredients. I'm making one for his cake smash photos. Not sure if it'll be from scratch or box mix. I'm just having fun with it and not worrying about artificial ingredients since I doubt he'd ingest much anyways. I think I'll make Funfetti. I haven't decided if I'll do store bought or homemade for his party.
Here is my favorite recipe for cake! I was in a group called the Daring Bakers for a while and this was one of the baking challenges. It was delicious!!! I just play around with the flavors to suit what I feel like eating.
I'm not sure. There's a vegan bakery not far from here that I may order from. I got a really good vegan recipe that seems simple from Alex that I might try!! He's allergic to eggs and milk. I've tried baked good with egg in it two times and he did great but I don't want to chance it on his birthday
