I haven't been around much since this was a DDC, so I'll re-introduce myself

I'm Cassie (25), girlfriend to Brett (22), mom to Xander (5) and Wyatt (17 months). A little background: my mom is basically Xander's "dad role". She is the only co-parent I have ever had for him. I moved to Tucson October 2013 to be closer to my boyfriend, Wyatt's dad. Xander stayed with my mom for stability, and because I didn't want to pull him out of school when he was doing so well.

Xander is in preschool, but it is a standalone school with certified teachers, not a daycare setting. I spend time with him every other weekend, because it's a 2 hour drive. We are working on moving Xander in with us, will either be this summer or the following year. We are currently in a one bedroom apartment, and just don't have enough room. And I want to move him in summer so he has the time to transition.

Wyatt is a pretty happy little boy. He's about 6 months delayed and we have been referred to Arizona Early Intervention for that. He's not walking yet, and not talking either. He babbles and says "mama" "dada" and "baba", but nothing else.

Hi! I haven't been in this group since it was a ddc either. My name is Ekko and my daughter is Ellis. We live in cold, frozen, snowy Michigan. Hoping to see what issues other moms are dealing with at this busy age.

I remember you! Welcome back, both of you. I am normally on here everyday, but we have relatives in town, so it's been a couple of days. Glad to see both of you on here.

Hi Cassie (and Ekko): I remember Cassie too from back then. Glad to hear Wyatt is a happy little boy. I am sure he'll catch up on the delay before you know it plus boys talk much later on average anyway. Welcome back.

Yeah, some babies just walk and talk later... I wouldn't be too concerned about it at this point.

Hi Girls! Cassie, sounds like you are working really hard to make a good life for you and the boys. I can't imagine how hard it must be to not have Xander with you all the time. I hope you are able to make that transition soon!
