Who else is actively doing it or considering it? What is your experience if you are doing it and what are your plans if you are considering it?
Luyando is doing great with it. This evening she went over and sat on it and I quickly went to undress her and she made number 2. She's been going to sit on it more by herself these days. In between that and us putting her on it when we think she is ready (the girl holds her pee for an average of 3 hours!), we have been having dry pull-ups all day for the past several days. She even went in the toilet in the church's nursery this evening. Yay for my big girl.
Madalyn has been showing signs. She will stop what she's doing and grab her bottom when she pees in her diaper. We talk to her about it and let her sit on the toilet. She is dry a lot ... even after naps. We need to get a potty seat!
Ruby goes pretty much 100% when I mention it, pee and poop. But I guess I am skeptical as my first didn't potty train until age 3 and my second is still in pull-ups and he just turned 4. I got so burnt out with them, I don't know that I have it in me!
Go, girls! Jinnah, I guess it may be a girl thing. I know on average girls potty train earlier than boys. The thing is they all will be eventually one day. I am just happy to be seeing the end of the tunnel with regards to diapers. DD1 was potty trained at 19 months although I started her at 15 months; Luyando started just like a month ago but she got the hang of it really quickly so won't be surprised if she is day potty trained by 19 months too. Night is a hit or miss. Some days she'll wake up to pee and stay dry all night and some nights she just lets it flow. I am not so worried about the night one although that was what dd1 mastered first and all on her own too. With Luyando, the night might take a bit longer but we'll get their some day.
