For those who celebrate, are you doing baskets for your baby? If so what are you putting in it? Are you doing any candy?

I did a basket last year with a few baby toys. Haven't decided about this year. We're going to try celebrating Passover, also... does anyone else do this?

We celebrate it but don't do any basket. The kids do eggs search at church and all though. We actually did "passover" at our small groups meeting 2 weeks ago. It was neat because it prompted a lot questions from the young kids which is the premise for it anyway.

How did you celebrate it? I have no idea how to celebrate Passover!

We got Ellis a (toy) electric guitar that's sort of shaped like a puppy. She saw it at the store and went bananas over it. Hoping she still loves it when she rediscovers it this weekend in her Easter basket! No candy for her though. She gets enough sweets from her grandparents. (Boo! I'm the no-fun mom!)

We're doing a basket for Abbi. She's getting a new babylit book (Sense & Sensability!), new Jake book, the disney jr dj shuffle cd, some cute new socks with doc, sofia, and minnie on them, and a paint color book.

We had responsive reading prepared by our church; our small group that day had 2 other families with 2 daughters about the same age as mine. We all sat on the floor to have enough space for everyone around a circle. We made certain food items - matzos - unleavened crackers/bread, charoset (apples, raisins, cinnamom, and cranberry juice, boiled eggs, roasted chicken, bitter herbs (horseradish), parsley, salt water. Each item represents some part of the story of the passover; the reading we did covered each item and the older girls asked lots of questions prompting stories about the flight from Egypt. It was a very sweet time; of course, after the passover the kids still wanted pizza

How neat! I want to try celebrating the biblical holidays this year.
