DH and I are flying by the seat of our pants. We've never done this before and though the Mohel has told us what roles people need to be chosen for, we have inadvertantly insulted my father!!!!

We will fix this tonight, but still!

We chose DH's father for the role of Sandak.. he is so flattered and honored and we wanted to include him in this. My poor dad, whom I adore, is SO hurt!

So now we will have 2 sandak's and my father will also be the one who carries the baby in.

oh the guilt and the pressure!

So hard to please everyone when you dont know what you are doing!!!!!

I have bris thought on my mind also. I know it's still 4 months away, but I'm beginning to plan a few things. My mom and I are going to the craft store next week to get ideas for the decorations. We're both very crafty so we always do those things ourselves, I just don't want to be stuck doing them a week before this baby is born! Also, we're in the process of buying a house so I may be moving when I'm HUGE!
Anyway, just relax and take it one thing at a time. The sandek thing is pressuring, I know. For David we chose my fil because David bears the name of his own father, but I think this time we'll choose my father. And don't try to please everyone, go with your heart.

Sharon

YEAH I went through the brit. Yikes I thought I had it all planned great where my FIL and my dad were the sandek. Well when the time came my son was placed on my FIL lap and my dad held the legs of tot he side. In pictures and uring the event my dad felt like he had none of the honor. He was devastated when the he saw th epics and it look like he was just observing it. I hope I have another boy and then I will have the new baby on my dads lap. It is hard to have eveyone share the honor but it is hard not too. Well I have my level 2 on April 21 so I will be able to start worrying

Good luck

Stacy

I have not even thought about that yet. And we have 3 fathers. What I would love...but I dont think it is possible...if my husbands grandfather could do it. He is orthodox and chanted the 7 blessings at our wedding. But he is 91 and in a nursing home and likely couldnt leave and I dont think could hold the baby if he did. I think we would choose my FIL since he is the most religious of our three fathers.
