I have always wanted to understand the many other religions. I know a little but would like to hear it from "the horses mouth" (lol) what are the beliefs and pracitces of Judaism?

If I offended anyone I dont mean to, I was just wondering why no one wants to respond. I have had many people come to Islamic Parenting and ask question about Islam and we do what we can to answer them.

Hi Farrah,

I was not offended.. I just dont know how to answer because I'm still figuring it out for myself. We also have a slow board.

There are a few of us in here and I think we all just had our babies.. so we're running on little to no sleep..

As soon as I get some time (maybe this weekend?), I'll try to gather some links for you so you can learn a little more. Sorry we were so slow in responding.

Judaism is based on the belief of one, omnipotent G-d. That's pretty much the basic belief.
The basis of Jewish life is Torah observance. Our 613 commandments are our instructions on how to live. These includes everything from what to/not to eat, how to dress, how to behave in business and even how to have sex
The principle behind these commandments is to act with morality in every situation.
There are a few websites that will explain all these better than me.

www.askmoses.com
www.torah.org
