And someone posted a thread witha link to a Christian video and titled the thread "A video EVERYONE must see- Christian and non-Christian" Would you call them on it or did I over-react?
BTW, I would not have said anything if the thread had been titled "Beautiful Christian video" IT was the insistance that everyone needed to see this, even if they already had their own religion.
Do you ever say anything if things get too religious in places where it is not the main topic?

That's a tough one!
Well, I think that depends on the video. Obviously you're talking about a video aimed at converting people to Christianity, so I don't think I'd click on it in the frist place
As for calling the person on that, it may create some resentment, but if I know it's a board where there are many people from many different religion, I'd probably say something like, "thanks for posting this, but IMO it's a bit disrespectful for people who are not Christian and don't wish to convert to Christianity to say that it's something we ALL should watch."

There are a few forums that I frequent that get like that from time to time. I find that this time of year whith Christmas just around the corner it gets worse. I do say something most of the time. Most places it is frowned upon to post such links. I find that religion gets to be a real hot topic especially when people are trying to force it down your throat.

I would at this point just ignore the post and link all together. But in the past I probably would have said something. The general rule at most of the forums I go to is that we don't discuss religious topics as they have the uncanny ability to get very messy very quickly. I don't take well to people trying to push their religious beliefs on me. But I generally just ignore posts that would upset me.
