I saw recipes in quotes because I dont use/have recipes

but there are SOOO many Jewish foods out there, and a few million ways to make them all and I am wondering how you all make yours? Especially things like Kugel, Latkes, etc.

This is so funny because I just requested a subforum for recipes. Are you reading my mind??

You know, I also don't use recipes myself, except when I'm baking. Mainly because I love to cook and invent stuff and so I'm always changing the recipes. David's school recently asked us moms to contribute to a recipe book they'll be publishing and I had to get into the kitchen with a measuring cup to be able to give them a few recipes.

I hope the subforum is available soon.

I cook the same way, I may look at a recipe for ideas, but i dont follow it. Which is why i cant bake! I just like to play in the kitchen. I would have a hard time giving someone a recipe of mine

This is going to sound really weird, but I'm hoping you all can help me.

I work for a jewish family for the major holiday get togethers. I cant remember for the life of me what this dish is called but i look forward to it every time.

It is the meatball and chicken dish. Sweet and its an appetizer at their house on passover. any ideas?

Wow, that's a good one! I have no clue
But maybe if yo uknew if this dish was ashkenazi or sepharadic, it'll be easier to find out what it was.

I am so sorry for my ignorance but I dont even know what those 2 words mean but I am going to use context clues and determine they are two different cultures of judiasm.

and again my ignorance is showing cuz I have no clue.

I dont know why i worry about it so much, i could never actually make it. Jewish cooking is so delicious but so time consuimg
