Awww...love this. If you don't mind me asking, did the baby get his/her nickname because they're biracial? My little guy (and hopefully, soon to be, gal) are biracial, too. My son looks a little more white than black. Those Scandinavian genes are really strong.

I don't mind at all!

S/he is biracial... but I actually gave the nickname because that is the first thing I craved

A couple people have told me that it is a racist term, but I had never heard that before.

You're right about those Scandinavian genes!! My cousin is biracial, and he married a girl with Scandinavian heritage. Their little girl is two now, and that baby can't even tan! We often tease my cousin that he was just the donor!

Sorry, didn't mean to get off topic, this thread's about Tanya's Oreo... I just had to giggle when you mentioned that!

I personally don't find that term offensive. I guess I can kind of see how others might. But I think it's a cute nickname.
