When I had my 8 week ultrasound, I mentioned to my OB that I was having some hip and tailbone pain. My OB saw that I had a "rather large" cyst on my left ovary that was putting pressure on my tailbone. She said that it was probably just a corpus luteum cyst and that it should be going any on its own any day now. My worry is that the pain seems to be increasing. It's harder to sleep at night and sitting at my desk is quite painful nevermind getting up after sitting at the desk. Should I be concerned that the pain is increasing?

Anyone else experience this?

I haven't experienced it, but just wanted to say that I hope it goes away!

I had a large corpus luteum cyst that they were following to make sure it was shrinking instead of growing, if it would have kept growing they would have had to drain it.

I had one during my pregnancy in Nov. It was 5cm when they first saw it, but when I lost the baby a couple of weeks later it was already down to 3cm and completely gone 2 weeks after that. My dr said if it got bigger than 7cm they would have to drain it/remove it. She also told me that if I was experiencing a lot of pain I needed to call them or if it was a night or weekend go to the hospital.
A call to the dr might not hurt. I hope it gets better soon!

I have had a pain in my rear, I just figured it was the way I was sitting or laying... It's not as bad today so I think it's going to go away. My back is out of wack too I'm sure so that probably has something to do w/ it too on me. Good luck!!
