I'm really close to grandfather, he and my grandmother watched me during the week while my parents worked from the time I was 6 weeks old till I started middle school. So, we are close and he is my last living grandparent.
He's 80 but very active, still has his mind, lives alone. He looks 60, acts like he's 20. He has some heart problems, pacemaker and stents placed. Well, yesterday after a stress test he was sent to the hospital. He has some internal bleeding and they are not sure where it's coming from, so he got some blood last night in the ER. Also, he has clots in two of his stents and they are 80-90% blocked. They are going to try to clear the blocks on Monday. He is in the ICU right now. So, if you could keep in him you thoughts, send out some positive thought, energy or prays, I'd appreciate it. I hope he comes out of this ok.

I'll be praying for him today. I understand how you feel, I love my grandpa more than anything, and don't know what I'll do when something happens to him.
Thanks everyone. The bleed is in his small intestine. They found he has three clots, not two. The one clot is in a difficult area to get to and he will probably need to have open heart surgery to remove it. Right now he is against the surgery, but we will see what he decides.

I'll be praying for him. I lost my grandfather in 2010 at the age of 80. We had major issues but the finality of death, even after a long life, is something you can't really prepare for. I hope you don't have to experience that just yet. ((Hugs))
Thanks everyone! I visited him yesterday and him seemed like his usual self. Still goofy as ever. He is optimistic. He went in for his procedures today, they were able to out a stent in and open the one artery, the other two blocks were in an old stent and they were able to clear those somewhat (they are still 30-40% blocked). He should be ok for now, but will need open heart surgery sometime in the future. Also, the internal bleeding seems to have stopped. So, he should be going home in few days.
