Ugh! Medi-cal apparently has a 6 prescription limit in a 30 day time period. And since I get 12 tablets of Zofran at a time, along with my other two, I apparently reached my limit. I have to wait on some authorization form to be "approved" before I can get it

Luckily, my morning sickness is easing up a bit. But I'm down to my last half a phenergan, and thats it. I'll probably fork out the $20 for the phenergan though. Thats do-able.

I wish I had known about this prescription limit! Love learning lessons the hard way...

Oh no! I'm sorry! I would die! That happened to me too so I had my dr.'s office call the insurance company and tell them I need unlimited refills. THANK GOD it went thru. I pop them like Tic-Tacs...sadly.

Well my OB called me this afternoon to check up on Friday's episode (dehydration, severe vertigo/dizziness). I mentioned that I'm out of my meds and I can't get a refill. We talked about medi-cal's limit rule, and she told me she was going to do everything she could to get me those refills. Because without them, we both know I'll end up back in the ER... again. So cross your fingers for me as I go to battle again! Hopefully by the time I call, some progress will have been made.

My insurance only allows 12 Zofran a month- but script says 30 allowance so the pharmacy let me pay for the others... It ended up being only about $10 and totally worth it!

Wow... $10? Jackpot! For me, 12 of the generic is $80, and 12 of the name brand is $310!

Medi-cal came thru! So happy I get my meds this afternoon!
Belita and BellaRN like this.
