I don't know if any of you read about little Avery or saw her on the news.
She had a rare medical condition, spinal muscular atrophy. Doctors only gave her till 18 months to live. She passed away on Monday at only 6 months
Her parents made a "bucket list" for her, and blogged about it to bring awareness of the disease. It became an inspiration for people with all sorts of medical issues. Her story gave them hope to stay strong even in the hardest times.

I'm in tears just thinking about it, so I'll have to pass on reading it for now. I saw a headline the other day about a toddler being hit and killed by an SUV and I'm still traumatized by that even though I didn't read the article. Ever since becoming a mommy, I'm an emotional basket case about anything bad happening to kids. I personalize it too much and can't handle it.

Leanne- I completely understand. Ever since becoming a mom, I look at everything so differently. It's hard to read these stories.

i cant read or hear or see about something sad to do with a child when im pregnant.. it makes me a wreck and makes me worried for concerns my whole pregnancy... so i havent read about her but i have heard about her since its all over FB.. i feel so bad for this family!

I read about over the weekend and was sad to learn she didn't make it. I don't know how her parents did it...I'm extra cautious with my son at all times but that beautiful baby girl had great parents that did everything they could for her and if that was ever to happen to me I pray that I'm as strong and brave as them. God bless her and her parents

I read about this the other day and then I read the next day she had passed on. It was so sad to read the story and then to hear the sad news. My heart goes out to her family.
