So my girlfriend stopped by to visit me yesterday afternoon. A few hours later she texted me and said, "Can I ask you a question??? I had a weird vibe about something and I want to know if it's true. Are you pregnant?!?"
No one knew I was pregnant yet and we were planning on calling our family yesterday evening and telling them, so I wasn't sure what to do!!!!!
I ended up telling her and she was ecstatic for us! I asked her her she knew and she said that there were some things I had told her recently that made her think something was up (bad migraines, she saw me drinking more water, and I told her we were moving our son into a new room since he starts preschool in the fall). I didn't think any of these were big giveaways but then she said she noticed a little bump yesterday!!!! I guess as good as I was trying to hide it, I do in fact look pregnant!!!!
Anyway I will always remember how my friend found out!!! It was so fun to be able to spill the beans with her!!!!!
Haha that's really cool that she knows you well enough to pick up on those subtle cues!
I told one of my friends yesterday by e-mail since she's away in Germany. The thing is I was only 7 weeks along last time she saw me and she said she suspected it then. The ONLY giveaway at that point, possibly, I think, was that I wasn't completely ignoring the babies at the group meeting that day -- but I have been trying to interact more with other people's babies lately, before I got pregnant. So IDK. (For a few years I pretty much avoided babies because I was too emotional)
That's neat! Some people can totally pick up and that. I remember way back when I was pregnant w/ my 1st my friends mother asked me if I was pregnant because I had a glow. It was before I even knew I was pregnant!
That's funny. I've been waiting to see if anyone at work picks up on it. I definitely have a small bump, but I have been wearing certain outfits to disguise it. I wanted to go as long as possible without saying anything here although my boss knows. He's just being good and hasn't said anything.
Thats so neat your friend noticed. I had to tell alot of my friends at a homecoming party for one of our friends, they kept asking me to drink and i kept saying no then someone finally asked.
LoL - it's funny how friends just 'know.' I called my BFF about getting our girls together for a play date, and mid conversation she says "wait - are you pregnant?" Seriously?!?! I have no idea how she knew!!
How fun!! I was pregnant with my first at my wedding, but only 4 or 5 days!! I had no confirmation of it yet. My cousin told me at my reception that our gramma looked at her and said "Ade's pregnant". How she had the slightest idea, I have no clue!
