it's actually easier to cloth diaper in the beginning, at least if you plan to breastfeed exclusively. BF poo is water-soluble, so you don't have to do any special rinsing or dunking before you wash!

As they get older and start having solid foods introduced, that's when dealing with the poopy diapers can get... interesting. I've known some people with kids who poop on very predictable schedules, who will use a disposable diaper just to catch the poop, and cloth the rest of the time! Pee diapers are pretty easy to deal with, it's not much different than regular laundry.

I get sick at lest once a year like the kind where you cant decide which way to be on a toilet so yes I know what you mean and i was being honest it normally last a few days. Im not afraid to share my life or my opinion and i don't know why as of late everything i post has to be "proven wrong". I already know some of you think its nasty that i would ever even wear those clothes again so i don't see why its so crazy for me to say i personally dont like the idea of cloth diapers. I never accused anyone of having a bad, invalid, cruel, or stupid opinion I said that "I" dont like it and "I" dont think "I" will do it. the major reason for my first response has since been removed And a was more then happy to forget about it. I want to make it clear that im not trying to change this topic or make it about me In any way but I am definitely starting to get the point of several recent posts on this board. the Entire point of the topic was to give your opinion on something which is what I did so what if my opinion doesn't match yours if we all had the same opinion there wouldn't be much reason for the topic.

Yay for sure! Disposables sit in landfills for years and years, in fact they take up the most space in our landfills.

They're easier than people think!

And yes, newborns often have clothes covered in yucky spit up and diaper blow outs, so I don't think of washing cloth as any different. Plus, they're so cute and not filled with chemicals like disposables are.

I tore so bad delivering Zoey - that I had zero muscle control down there and therefore had quite a few accidents. I cried many days thinking I'd have fecal incontinence for life. Unfortunately many pairs of panties went to panty heaven. Fortunately - they were all my post pregnancy granny panties. (and yes I finally regained control after a couple of weeks)

$hit happens

We've never had blowouts in cloth. Even the time E went 3 weeks without pooping (100% BF at the time and was completely fine). We had some issues of blowouts with Mia when she was in sposies. For those that are scared of all the extra laundry, it really wasn't that bad. I did it for 4 years straight, so it became a habit and not anything extra on me. E had been in pullups for the last 2 years at night and sometimes we ran out and I didn't realize it. Having to run out to get more was always such a PITA. I never had to worry about that with cloth, lol! Or when money was tight, the kids at least had diapers. I just couldn't see throwing all that money in the trash (literally!).
