Baby is ok. Her cervix is a bit shortened from her last check, so still keep your fingers crossed it won't shorten more. They don't know why she's spotting.

Thanks everyone for the thoughts and prayers & thank you Robyn for keeping everyone informed.
I just got home. Overall a short visit, thankfully. I wish I knew why the spotting, but I guess if everything is ok, I won't stress it. Maybe the coughing and sneezing I've had for the past couple days jostled something I really am hoping my cervix gets longer again because I really can't afford to go on bedrest, so for now it will be much less activity for me... The last week I've been up on my feet much more than in previous weeks & have been going up & down stairs at home more than before, so I'll just reign it in again.

I'm just seeing this now. Glad baby is ok... I thought you have a cerclage? Isn't the cerclage supposed to keep it from shortening? I hope it doesn't get any shorter

Glad to hear a good report. Just remember that brown =old so it could have been a scratch or irritation up there.

Krista - based on what I've read, the cervix can get shorter from the inside to the cerclage. On the IC forum I'm a part of there are women who funnel right up to the cerclage & the stitch is what prevents it from going further... So far there is no sign of funneling, which is a good sign. The change in measurement can also be from a different machine being used, which is what I'm hoping is the case with my change. If it goes down to 3, I'll likely have to go on bedrest

Well hopefully if it DOES get shorter the cerclage will do its job. I will keep you and baby in my prayers. Hopefully it won't go down to 3, bedrest isn't any fun..

Glad baby is ok! Will keep praying that it doesn't shorten anymore! Could the cerclage itself just be irritating the cervix and causing the spotting?

I actually didn't think of that, but I imagine it can since it's a foreign object in there...
