Great idea, Ame! Let's have a random chat thread where we can just post our thoughts and converse, but don't necessarily feel it's worth starting a whole thread about. No topic here!!!
Does anyone actually work in a place where people gather around the water cooler to talk like they show on TV shows? At my school we gather in classrooms or around the copy machine.

I have never actually worked in a place that had a water cooler
What's on the agenda for today? I've got to clean up, pack and run errands. I'm avoiding the cleaning We leave for the beach tomorrow!

I love the beach! My parents live on Cape Cod and I like to go stay with them for a bit over the summer. I miss living there.
Which beach are you going to?
I ask my husband all the time what it's like to work in an office when I see officy TV shows since I've never worked in one. He said it's nothing like on TV. Shouldn't surprise me since schools are nothing like they show on TV shows either.
Me, I'm just shredding all the live-long day and trying to keep from being too bored. The kids have discovered the shreddings and are now trying to play with them!!

We are going to Carolina Beach Our hotel is on the beach. We stayed at a beach front hotel last year and it was SO worth it!
How old are the kids?

Katherine that sounds amazing! I love the beach and since I moved off of Long Island, every summer I have serious withdrawals
DH has been away on business (over Fathers day weekend!) and gets back tonight! But I've been staying at my parents for the week.
When he gets in tonight our u/s tech friend who lives near my parents is going to scan me!

I'm originally from FL, so not living that close to the beach is killing me, lol!

That sounds like fun, Kelli!!
Katherine, the kids are first graders.
Even if we had a decent lake with a beach I'd love that, but nope. The lakes that are worth driving to for me aren't that great. I may have to make do. DH bid on a house with a pool but didn't get it. I wish he'd gotten that house!!

Hi ladies! I'm really really busy today at work, so I'm not going to be able to most much today but wanted to say hi! If I can make it through tomorrow, I'll have a lot of spare time on my hands the rest of the week. Just have a big meeting starting tomorrow that I have to get some presentations done for. Will check in later.

We love having our pool. I was so thrilled when we found this place because not many houses here have pools!

Morning Ladies. Today is a lazy kind of day. the pool took a toll on me yesterday, since Zoe thinks she can swim in the deep end. I live 8 mins away from the gulf and A spring feed river. Just the beach in my area is not worth going too. I have to pick Zoe up in 2 hrs from school, hopefully shell take a nap today.

Hey girlies! This is a great idea!
We are busy busy busy! DH is working overtime every night until next tuesday, June 26th - he started on Wednesday the 13th. So, ten hour nights every night, then he is home with DD all day, and only sleeps when she naps, and for a few hours when I get home. He is trying to make up for the hours he is missing when we go to my brother's wedding on June 28th - July 1. BUT, he is a total crabby pants because of the huge lack of sleep. And, we don't have like ANY time together right now.
I am tired - but I am sleeping, lol. Work is nuts, but hopefully about to get better, as they have finally hired someone else to replace two people who left!
DD is pushing all my buttons - she has been regressing on her potty training, and doesn't want to sleep in her own bed. I think it has something to do with baby. :/ I am sure she will push through it!
I wish I was going to the beach!!

I was going to do laundry and clean up some, but DH wants to get out of the house so I have no clue what is on tap for today. He is trying to enjoy his down days before he his schedule picks up again.
I miss the beaches in Florida! The beaches here in Texas are not the same.

Meghan, that stinks!! Hopefully he'll get some rest so that he's not so crabby! And that Amber gets back on track with being potty trained
Oh Bella, you're killing me with Jacksonville I haven't been home in so long

11I love the beach also! We tried going last weekend for the day and it rained. the kids got to play in the water for a little bit though. I am hoping we can try again this weekend!
I need to work on cleaning the carpets! We rented a machine yesterday and I'd like to be able to turn it in today. My oldest 2 kids have been helping with it and its already looking a lot better!
Had one of the worst weekends at work. Had yesterday and today off and I'm still beat! I go in tomorrow for 8hrs and then have class the next 2 days so maybe I'll get rested.
Then my u/s is at 2:00 today!!!! I can't wait! Dh is coming home at lunch to go with me. He thinks girl, I am thinking boy. My oldest dd thinks boy but I think the others kids are pretty much thinking girl. I know my younger girls are rooting for another girl. I woke up at 5 to use the bathroom and had the hardest time going back to sleep!

I've gotta clean carpets too...sigh....We got rid of the cat, so now I need to clean up the playroom. We bought a steam cleaner a few years ago and it has been worth every penny. I use it at least once a month on the whole carpet and then on random spills/messes when need be. This is what we have:
Hoover® SteamVac® Carpet Washer with Clean Surge®
I don't know how you can wait until 2, lol!!! I gotta have a morning appointment!

I have to get morning appts, too! Well, unless it means waiting until the next day!
I'm surprised not many people have pools where you live, Katherine. Lots of people in TN had them.
I ended up helping people for a little bit and will do that again soon. Nice to have something to do because as much fun as it is to browse on here, I do like to have other things to do as well.

We cleaned our carpets a few weeks ago! Looks so much better
Katherine - how did you get rid of the cat? Weird question lol - but I think I want to get rid of one of our dogs. She is 'my' dog - a year old golden retriever mix. Sweet, well trained, good dog - but our house is small. DD will be heartbroken, and DH doesn't even want to talk about it - but I just think that we will need the space once baby is here. :/ Its a battle I am not winning. And, its not like I want to get rid of her - but the practical side of me says its for the best!

I prefer morning appts. And I was supposed to go yesterday at 9:30 but they called and rescheduled.
So the hoover works really well? We have a Kirby that came with a shampooer and it worked ok but it included me scrubbing hard stains with a brush and going over it a lot! A HUGE hassle. We rented a rug doctor and it is AMAZING!!!! Got awful spots up by just going over it a few times and no scrubbing on my hands and knees!

We ended up taking him to the humane society It was hard. He was such a sweet sweet cat, but he kept peeing on all the girls' toys and things I don't know anyone without kids and he seemed to be stressed by the kids and I didn't want to do the CL route. He used to only stay by me, but as soon as I got pregnant, he stopped coming to me and snuggling and in the last month or two, he wouldn't sit on the couch near me.
We love the Hoover. It's got a clean surge button, which puts out extra solution. If I have a stain that doesn't come out first pass, I'll put the steam vac over it, moving the vac over the stain, with solution coming out so that it gets scrubbed and it gets the stain out. Plus it has an attachment for things like couches, my car, the bed. It keeps my car looking new (whenever I clean it, lol).
