So I ended up in the ER again..I didnt really think I was gonna end up in there again..I called my doctor to see if I could get an appointment and she told me no go to L&D..so i have spotting..its bright red. Its a tiny amount but it goes on and off. Yesterday i went to the ER for spotting for the 4th this prrgnancy..I was spotting on and off for 8 hours. I went and they did a urine test came back great. They did a pelvic exam he said cervix is closed and looks great. I had no active bleeding. They checked heartbeat and it was great. So they sent me home. I didnt spot at all for like 12 hours but now it started again??? I put on a pad and theres no blood on the pad. But when I wipe theres a little bit of bright red blood. Is this normal?? I mean ive been googling and I saw any spotting or bleeding is bad..but why would they send me home?? Im confused..Ive been spotting on and off for 3hours now..I feel a lot of tapping right below my tummy. Is it possible this is normal? Could it be because my blood type is RH negative?

Did they test you for an infection? I know BV can cause spotting and contractions. Have you DTD recently? That can cause spotting and even straining going to the bathroom can cause spotting if you have a sensitive cervix. Rh- really doesn't have anything to do with it, as I am Rh- as well and the only time I have spotted with my previous pregnancies was when I had BV (pregnancy makes me more susceptible to them).

I just got rid of a BV 2 weeks ago and just currentky got rid of yeast. The doctor said that my skin down there looks good. No signs of infections. :/...last time i had sex was 2 days ago. I know when the doctor put the scapel in it hurt really bad. Could it be from that?

Scalpel???? Or speculum? Internal exams can cause spotting.

I dont remember...it was most likely speculum. All i remember is it hurt really bad and i had to clutch on to the side of the bed.

A scalpel is a surgical tool that cuts open your body, the speculum is a duckbill type thing they use so they can get a better look inside. My guess is that it was the speculum. Everything is more sensitive down there, so it's likely you are bleeding from that. I know I've always been told to wear a pad after a pap or internal exam because it can cause spotting.

My friend has had spotting off and on her entire pregnant and she's 35 weeks with a healthy baby girl. It probably is a sensitive cervix, but I can understand why it's so scary for you!

Sorry you have had so many scares. I think some people just spot throughout pregnancy. If it's just light and baby is okay, I would try not to worry. Unless it gets heavy, then I would definitely go back to the hospital or call the doctor.

i had the same problem a little while back and it turned out that my cervix changed its shape because of this pregnancy??? he gave it a name for it were i could just bleed for no reason or bleed cuz of sex now but if its an issue after birth then they just do a little surgery to fix it. so it could be the same thing? i wish i remembered what he called it!
