This is my birth story for our daughter Avery Hope. We had a crazy journey to get her. From a loss of a little boy at 18 weeks to learning I have incompetent cervix and spending a month in the hospital fighting for this little girl! Her birth story is a little crazy but thankfully she is just fine.
On Wednesday night I was scooping myself a bowl a of cinnamon buns ice cream and REALLY craving it. As I went upstairs I felt more of a trickle and everytime I bent over, more water came out. We arrived at the hospital at around 8:45 and immediately got admitted. We waited for contractions and they were really infrequent so we started pit around 2am. My contractions got strong and HORRIBLE when I was dilated to a 7 so I got my epi. It didnt work and my contractions were HORRID. I was told to start pushing at 8:30am. We pushed for hours and made very little progress. Two times during the pushing I felt like it just wasnt going to work. No one believed me amd kept telling me everything was fine. It wasnt. Excruciating pain...
Finally my doctor admitted the pushing was doing practically nothing because my hips were really narrow and she recommended a c section. Since Avery was lodged deep into my pelvis from the pushing, my doctor did a t-incision csection which means Ill need a c section for every birth from now on.
Avery was born after a painless csection at 12:20 pm on 4/11, also her daddies bday! We are so grateful for every moment! Here are some pictures from our hospital stay!
