Yay for double digits Hannah! I lost 5-6 pounds too around 8-9 weeks. I've gained it all back though!

Update:
10 weeks 4 days
First of all. I have to share my new maternity top from Target (double post).
I just absolutely love it! It's amazing how a looser shirt feels sooo much better when your belly start to bulge. Though my bulge isn't super big.
Anyway, I, much like Brandy am able to say food is finally my friend. Well, for now. I still have occasional bouts of nausea but I think thats because I'm just not eating soon enough. I'm still down roughly 7 lbs but hopefully on the uphill swing soon. Not that I'm anxious to gain weight but I'm certainly excited to finally start looking PG.
The only other news for today is that its finally starting to get warm and stay warm around here so I'll be able to go on more walks and garden some! DH and I are super excited to have a garden this summer and hopefully make homemade baby food from . Anyone else do this before?
Until next time...

Cute shirt! I'd love to have a garden, but I have a brown thumb. DH has a green thumb but he prefers to take care of trees (bonsai) and not grow veggies. He tried growing hops before (he brews his own beer) and that didn't turn out very well. Good luck with your garden!

Update:
11 weeks 1 day
Yay! Another week down, only 29 to go lol. Regardless, we're happy to have made it another week without complications or mishaps. Much like Brandy and Robyn have experienced, I too have felt what appears to be a small baseball like shape in my lower abdomen just above my pubic bone. I'm not sure if thats mainly uterus or baby but how exciting! DH has noticed it too. He pointed out the tiny bulge the other morning along with my growing BBS. They have hurt SO bad the past couple days and itched like crazy. I'm thinking thats cause they are growing yet again. *twirls a finger in the air* Oh yay.
In other news, I'm still getting sick. It's been pretty miserable actually. Last night I threw up all my dinner up, again. And this morning I heaved a few times pure water/bile. (TMI) I'm still having a hard time figuring out what my staple go-to food to calm my stomach is. It seems to be nothing right now. I also can't figure out if I need sweet or salty when it happens. I've tried both. Still not alleviating it. I'm hoping and praying that the next two weeks give me relief since we're so close to the second trimester. And if by then it does not, I may talk to my doctor about the weight I've lost and how miserable I've been feeling. I would prefer not to resort to Zofran or any other med for that matter but if thats the only way I can find relief to eat for myself and baby I may just have to do it. :/
Lastly, we are now in the TWW until our appointment! Of course it could not be a slower two weeks than the TWW to test BUT its still slow. LOL We're getting so anxious to see whats going on in there and get some testing done. Then I'll finally have something to talk about and show people!! Needless to say, I'm super excited!! Obviously, still cautious but excited to see our bean finally!
Until next time...

It's so exciting that we're all feeling a bump coming along!
I hope you feel better soon. I'd definitely talk to your OB about Zofran if it's not better by your appt.

Sorry you are still battling sickness, that is the pits! Luckily my stomach settled down about a week or so ago and even moreso once I quit taking the Prometrium. I understand not wanting to take addt meds unless you have to, but definitely talk to your dr about it at your appt. if it is still happening- hopefully it won't be!
I love being able to feel the bump in my stomach, it is so exciting and reassuring to finally have a sign that something is going on in there. I can tell mine has moved up some throughout the week, so I am hoping that means I will have an undeniable bump soon!

Update:
12 weeks!
Yay We've reached another milestone! The three month mark. Only another week or so until we blow this first trimester Popsicle! The last week has been pretty busy. DH and I went and watched his sister participate in her first triathlon and then helped his brother and brother's fiance make wedding invitations. All of that was followed by dinner and movies. Needless to say, more activity than this mama has had in a while. It was nice though. DH and I also finished planting our garden finally and with some good rain started seeing some plants perk up around the house. We're super anxious to start harvesting fruits and veggies to can and freeze for baby food .
Also this past week, I think I finally said good bye to the toilet gods. Though, I still feel occasionally nauseous or just that "ick" feeling I have not gotten sick in roughly 5 days! Woohoo To replace the m/s my BBS have gotten more sore and some headaches have started. I'm going to blame progesterone. Luckily, the headaches haven't been too terrible or often so I've been able to tolerate it.
Maybe I'll actually get to enjoy this pregnancy now, huh?!
Happy Sunday all

Update:
12 weeks 3 days
Well, the last couple of days have been pretty uneventful. We're basically just waiting for our appointment next Tuesday. I have a feeling I won't be getting an ultrasound. Which, by the way, is SO frustrating! While I'm reassured every time I hear the heartbeat, its not the same as actually seeing whats going on in there. Plus, I want to know if we're having twins or not already!
After using the doppler this morning I swore I heard another faint heartbeat but that could just be my mind playing tricks on me. Either way I hate being in the dark, plus, I'm SUPER jealous of everyone whose already had multiple u/s and appointments.
Okay, thats all I can rant about today. Otherwise, I'm still very tired and unmotivated to clean my house.
Until next time...

Update:
13 weeks!!
I almost cannot contain myself! Well, we've done it. We've successfully survived the first trimester. Though there are debates on when that starts I'm considering myself there already.
DH and I had a wonderful Mother's Day weekend. We did one of our favorite activities together...camping! And ditch-dove for fresh asparagus and rhubarb. This mama is eating healthy tonight! Plus we got to spend a little time with his family and enjoy the sunshine. I got a little sunburnt...but these white legs needed to see the sun.
Symptom-wise I'm feeling better still but have occasionally gotten sick if I don't eat in time. Or, if I eat something too rich. Still not a huge fan of meat but have been slowly introducing it back into my diet. If its mixed with things I don't mind it. Unfortunately, I've developed a head cold with a headache again. I had a sinus infection shortly after we found out we were PG and now I have one again. Just in time before the doctor, cool huh?!
I think we're going to mess with the doppler again tonight and see how baby's doing. It totally brightens my day to hear its little heart beating away. Plus, earlier in the week we thought we heard two! One at a rate of 144 and the other at 162. I'll be curious to see what my doc has to say on Tuesday at my appointment. We've been waiting a long time for this first appointment. But after this we'll have monthly appointments till were further along then its every two weeks and then every week until baby is born!
In other exciting news....my SIL had an u/s on Friday and she found out she was a week ahead so they were able to tell the gender! And....its a GIRL!!! They are naming her Blaire Robyn--Love it! I was so hoping they'd have a little girl to balance out their cute little fam. Though that puts us another week apart and her due date now in Oct. we're still having fun being PG together!
Anyway, I'll post another update after our appointment on Tuesday. I think thats all for now.
Happy Mothers Day ladies

I thought you looked a little tan in your belly pic! I actually already commented on it there!
How exciting that your SIL found out the gender already!

Well, its been a while since I've posted. Been kind of busy the past few weeks. Between appointments, work, an extracurriculars. I haven't had a whole lot of time to just sit down and reflect on whats new with mom and babe.
As far as baby. Baby is doing wonderfully. We got to see our little monkey for the first time last week which was super exciting!! HB is 158 and he/she was moving around wildly. The tech tried to see its "goods" to determine if it was a boy or girl, however, baby then decided to be modest and cross its legs. Thus, we have to wait another 5 weeks or so until the anatomy scan to find out. In the meantime, I have bought a few gender neutral outfits for baby to wear. With all this warm weather its hard to steer clear of the little swim suits and shorts so I have to really restrain myself to only buying fall and winter clothes. Which is also hard because sizes vary on bulkier items.
And as far as me. I'm doing well. Eating much better. And snacking healthy...even if we do make pizza or order in. I'm sure I've gained some weight back but I haven't had the urge to step on the scale. And the weather here has been so humid and hot I haven't even had the urge to go on walks. I really should but I'm like dying of heat exhaustion by the time I get back. Maybe I'll go to the air-conditioned gym instead....
I'm still anxiously awaiting movement though the u/s tech told me it might be a while still. That was kind of disheartening... :/ Hopefully sooner rather than later.
I have noticed, finally, a protruding belly that really seems like more baby and less bloat now. And its been fun purchasing my first maternity items. Hopefully I can add more summer tops to that collection soon!
Until next time...

16 weeks
Well we've reached another milestone!! 4 months. Yes, 4 months PG. Gahhh! It's so hard to believe we only have 4.5-5 months left of this.
Nothing new has really happened with me. I will say I have not gotten sick for a couple weeks now and that has been oh so wonderful. Instead I have occasional dizzy spells but I think thats just from changing positions too quickly. The headaches have disappeared and I've gained a little energy and sexual appetite back . *meow* lol okay okay TMI
And, yes, I'm still waiting for my tummy to "pop." Though I've definitely got a tummy bulge its not really a noticeable baby bump yet. Only in the evenings does it look like the start of one. You'd think at 16 weeks I'd start poking out there a bit more but guess not. Maybe be 20 weeks I'll have a true baby bump.
Finally, we're waiting to schedule our gender ultrasound. The doctor will probably schedule that after my appointment sometime next week of the following week. I'm hoping sooner rather than later. It has been driving me nuts buying gender neutral stuff, though it has been nice to buy things in general. I've gotten some killer bargains at garage sales lately. Even decorations and a head-start on the nursery.
I think thats really all with me. Baby is, of course, growing like a weed and now the size of an avacado! He/she can start to hear our voices, respond to light and even touch. Mom is still waiting to feel baby kick though....come on little one. Use those strong leg muscles daddy gave you to show me you're there....

How's the weight coming? I broke even with my pre-pregnancy weight yesterday, I am sure my dr will be thrilled to see that when I go visit her next week!
I only feel things occasionally and then I wonder if it was baby or just my stomach...hoping for some more defined movement soon for the both of us!

What a grumpy day. Not only did I not sleep well last night but my body is still SUPER achy. My back, tummy, BBS, and neck. I'm just really struggling with this sleep thing. And I think its because I've been rolling around in the bed so much and finding strange positions to sleep in that I wake up so achy and sore. I'm not sure what else to do. I've tried to pillow between my legs, behind my back, under my belly...it is still not working. :/
On top of it all. (OT) A good friend of mine is finally having her baby shower for her little girl thats due here in June and I have to work . I bought her the cutest little summer swimsuit and dress too!
Plus, my next OB appt. isnt for another 11 days and we aren't even sure when we'll have our anatomy scan yet. DH has been working longer hours and become obsessed with some minecraft building game on Xbox. So he spends time when hes not working obsessing about what stupid house or railroad track hes going to build next instead of planning things with me.
And lastly, its getting freaking hot! Not that I don't mind the sun. In fact, I tried to "lay out" in the sun last week but I just couldn't stand it for more than an hour or two without jumping in a pool (which I didn't have). I'm seriously going to die this summer. Maybe we should have planned this pregnancy differently. I'll be 6,7,8 months along in the hottest part of summer here in Iowa. THIS SUCKS!!! And the house is pretty cool so we haven't turned on the AC yet. But I can almost guarantee you that it will go on sometime before August.
Anyway, enough of my rant. Basically I'm just grumpy and sad. Mainly because I cannot get a good nights rest but also because its progressively getting warmer and DH continues to show little to no interest in picking out names or nursery things or any of that. Its quite frustrating.
End rant.

This Chaos Called Life: "Garden Fresh"
Week 17 update at the bottom of my blog post.
My appetite has increased a little along with my weight. Not by much though. I've been trying to be more active but the sandman usually finds me in the middle of the day.
Otherwise, we're right on track to our appointment Monday where we'll schedule our gender u/s (hopefully). And I've been planning a gender reveal party to be hosted in July.
Thats all for now .

Here's this weeks update!
This Chaos Called Life: Happy Father's Day!
I'm feeling fantastic today and we have a scheduled photo shoot with my SIL for our gender reveal photos. Though, we won't know the status of the gender until our appointment tomorrow morning!
DH is still feeling a little under the weather with his teeth but is going to be a trooper today and tag along for the photo shoot.
I'm still down 5lbs from my pre-pregnancy weight but thats almost 4lbs up from my last Dr.'s appt.
No nausea, headaches, or dizziness anymore. Just occasional back pain from my new protruding tummy. Otherwise Mom and baby are doing great!
Happy Father's Day everyone!
