After already having 3 I think I could pack my bag in my sleep. Definitely keep it to a minimum because you are going to be tired and feel like poo when you get home & it all has to be put away. Major must haves depends instead of those funky pads and mesh undies. Dermaplast cause the girly parts are gonna be sore. Reusable ice packs to put in the depends. Then normal stuff.
Not really, but I think I am going to sew myself a birthing skirt this time so that I can retain some modesty while I labor.
Something kind of like this: Binsi Labor and Birth Apparel
They look kind of dorky, but much better than laboring on all fours with my butt peaking out. LOL
I agree, this is my 3d, and you definitely don't need much! You're pretty much just hanging out staring at your baby the whole time! Only thing is my shampoo rather than the yucky hospital stuff, and hairbands and my own socks!
Comfy dark colored pants. I hated the gowns and put my pants on as soon as I was up walking around (C/S). Comfy shirts and a sweatshirt. And one pair of Maternity jeans to go home in. Burts Bees lip balm. My own pillow with a bright colored pillowcase (so you don't forget it). Breastpump if you think you might have issues.
A sleeper coming home outfit. I brought a cute lil outfit, onesie, pants, little jacket with buttons, matching mary jane socks and Mallory screamed bloody murder. I had luckily packed a cute sleeper and she went home in that. She HATED onesies for the first month of life!
I too, used Depends, but that was after I was home.

This is the second and third for me but I still know I don't want a lot to pack back home so just comfy clothes to wear home and clothes for the baby...and maybe my own diapers for them since my dd got a rash from the ones they used...
Another thing I have always done is bring snacks & drinks for DH. The vending machines get very expensive. You also need extra batteries for your camera. You don't want a dead camera when your Lo is born.
I will be bringing my own towel and my own pillow. I dressed DS everyday in an outfit and plan on doing the same since I'll be in the hospital 3-4 days. I also think bringing Hard candy is a good idea since you can't eat anything
