Those of you who had a c-section in prior pregnancies... do you plan to do another one this time? Or will you attempt VBAC? If you plan to do a c-section do you feel weird PICKING the babies birthdate? I keep going back and forth on it. On one hand I would REALLY like to be able to let the baby decide when to come, go into labor and then do c-section/vbac. On the other hand, I know my DD will have her preschool holiday performance a week before my due date so it would be nice to have a c-section scheduled for after her performance so I don't miss it. It's really important to me to be there for her show. Thoughts?

I will most likely have another C/S (Mallory was breech, so my 1st was planned). I LOVED knowing when she was coming. Plus, I didn't have one contraction, nor did I dilate at ALL, so I'm not sure how an induction would go for me. I'd rather just have a C/S again. It was quick, easy and relatively painless.

I loved picking the birthdate, however last time I had to go at 39 weeks (I had a due date of 2/9 but I got it scheduled for 2/2) because I had gestational diabetes, but my due date this time is 12/12/12 and that is just too cool of a date to not want to have this baby born on. I'm sure they are going to make me go early again, so I won't get that date, but I'd love to be able to schedule that!

I know that with all my c sections I had to go at 39 weeks is when they were planned. (However, my kids always seem to want to come earlier......so I always ended up having "unplanned ones" at 37 weeks. I will have another one this time. Due date is around the 15th, so I guess we'll see when this one really wants to come.....

This will be my 3rd baby and my 3rd c-section. My first was an unplanned c-section due to complications, my 2nd was planned (he was transverse). I did pick his birthday and had mixed feelings about it but ended up loving it. I'll be doing the same thing with this one. I am hoping to schedule my c-section for my due date which is Dec 4th, and if the baby decides to come earlier that's ok too :-)

Definitely doing a c-section again! I never felt a contraction and didn't experience hardly any amounts of extreme pain! Was super easy with a fairly easy recovery!

I'm torn about this. I really wanted a natural, vaginal delivery with DD and she was breech. So we ended up getting a c section four days after her due date when it was discovered what position she was in.

i liked not going through labor (of course), but I really had a tough time recovering. Breastfeeding was extremely difficult as I could barely sit up, and I passed out my first time getting up to go to the bathroom on my own. Would love to have a VBac. I think our tentative plan would be to schedule C-section for due date and if baby comes before then, deliver naturally.

I'm with Kate. The c-section wasnt like the others described. It was an extremely hard recovery time for me. I guess that helps me understand why some would choose a section. To me it was so much worse to recover for 6+ weeks than to go through the pain of labor + delivery.

I am hoping & praying for a VBAC and will not go to a DR. that doesnt truly support VBAC.

I had vaginal deliveries with my first 2 then DD was breach (lil mama turned at 35 weeks) found out after birth shes double jointed thats how she managed to maneuver her way around. I tried pregnancy massages, seen a chiropractor, placed music and light near my va-ja-ja to try to get her to turn...nothing worked. I was soooo upset so i had to get a scheduled C Section. My recovery was not bad at all so i will be asking for another one this final time so i can get my tubes tied one shot
