My current plan is to work up until Thanksgiving weekend. That will give me a week to 10 days to relax before my scheduled c-section (depending on when I have it scheduled). I am not worried about FMLA leave since I don't plan to return to my job (though they don't know that yet) but am trying to maximize the money I can make and save before then.....

Anyone else thinking ahead like this?

As long as I don't have any complications, I'll work right up until the birthday. That's what I did with my first two.

Well I'll be quitting to be a SAHM and I'm thinking I want my last day to be a month before my due date. That will give me time to do all the last minute baby stuff and just have some time to relax before taking care of a newborn!

I won't be returning to work after the baby is born, so it really doesn't matter much to me. I thought about the week of Thanksgiving being a good ending time, but now I'm thinking work may be a nice distraction when I'm the size of a blimp. My job isn't strenuous, so I don't see a reason why I can't work up until due date. Of course, this is my first pregnancy, so I may be seeing the last month with rosy colored glasses.

I worked the day that I went into labor. I mean, I wasn't in labor at the time...(I'm a strong woman...but even that would be a stretch) but I worked that entire day, and was getting ready for bed that evening when my water broke.

I liked working up until the birthday because it kept my mind off of my other complaints. Even though I liked being pregnant, it can be a bit much when you're officially 9 months pregnant. And I'm sure my co-workers were glad to have me for as long as possible.

I'll probably do the same this time around, to conserve my PTO to spend with the baby.

I know I'm not going to want to but I'm planning on working right up until birth if possible. I will be returning to work and want to have as much maternity leave time as possible.

With my first I planned to work right up until I gave birth. I was 10 days over due when they induced labor. I worked until about 3 days after my due date after that I was miserable I couldn't do it anymore. I plan to do the same this time work until I can't anymore. And we are saving as much as we can to see if I can take off longer this time. We will see as it gets closer.

I will be returning to work after mat leave, so I want to try to work as close to birthday as possible, granted there are no complications. I'm planning on taking probably 12 weeks mat leave, so I need to conserve my PTO if possible.

I want to work as long as I can because I want to take as much time after the baby is born. I'm hoping I can take atleast 8 weeks.
My ideal would be not to have to go back but I know thats not going to happen. My job gives us a partial income and my insurance so its a must.

I also am not planning on going back, at least not full time. But I do want to work as long as I can, just to build up our savings a little bit. I also think the distraction might be good for me... I love my job and I'll be able to adjust however I need to to work comfortably. But then again, who knows?

Im not working right now but with my first, I actually went to work while I was in labor! haha I was 39w 6d pregnant. With my second, I worked up until week 38, I believe. It was very doable. The worst part for me as a nurse was working when I was sick all the time!

I'm a sahm now, but with dd I worked the day I went into labor! (worked all day with funny belly ache, then admitted to hospital that night at midnight!)
I thought it was a nice distraction and kept me busy. If I worked now, I would work till the very end this time too.

I just started a new job in Feb and since this was a surprise I won't qualify for FMLA because I won't have been working a full year when baby is born. So that means I have to save as much PTO as possible and work until the last minute. I got 12 weeks with my girls so I am going to hate going back sooner. I only work 2 days a week but still...
