We drove 6 hours with all 3 kids yesterday so I could be here for my appt today. I told the nurse that I have felt like poo for the last 2 weeks and she started off "well your pg what did you expect". They found the HB right off and it was148 and I'm measuring a week ahead which was not a shock since I already have kids. My BP was high so she checked it again and it was the same. Looks like this pg is the same and I have PIH which has always lead me to Pre-E. I'm supposed to start BP meds when I get back home. She wants me to find a high risk OB where we are amd she will do the referral. Even if they dont take my ins I have to switch. She doesent want me driving 6hrs with the kids in the car not knpwing what my BP will do. I'm supposed to continue bed & pelvic rest too. I have to go and have an EKG at the hospital & a ton of blood work before we leave town today. My level II u/s is the 5th and my next appt will be in a month unless we get the high risk Dr to take me on before then.

Ugh, sorry to hear about the terrible appt. Are you doing ok on the bed rest? Are you able to stay in bed? I hope you are getting a lot of help. Did she say anything about the placenta previa? Hang in there, Crystal!
I'm sorry to hear it didnt go as well as you had hoped but the baby is obviously growing perfect. I hope you can find a high risk OB near you as driving 6 hours is a mission in itself nevermind the heat and being pregnant and dragging 3 kids with you. Too much. When are you having your gender scan?
I can't imagine having to travel that far for a crappy appt Glad the baby was doing well, though! Hopefully you can find a doctor closer, and nicer, in the near future!!!

We didn't even discuss the placenta previa today. I have the level II soon and its not with her so she is just waiting for the report to make plans. I'm still having occasional spotting so I'm not sure what its doing.

If I hadnt been feeling bad for a few weeks I would have blamed my BP on the drive. 3 kids, a grumpy husband and a dog makes for a long 6 hours. If I can wait until the 5th for my level II they may tell me the gender. If they don't let me know I'm going to do a private scan.
