We found out what we are having yesterday afternoon. I was thinking about doing a rice crispie dipped in blue frosting with some sprinkles on it and having a party for friends in our area since this is a fairly cheap way of doing it and is easier for me than cake pops. (besides I have another friend doing them for her reveal). But i also want a cute way to announce it through a picture on facebook for friends and family back home. We announced the pregnancy with a onsie I had drawn on that said
"our last name" +1 December 2012 written on it with a pink and blue party hat.

Can anyone help me brainstorm another cute idea or a saying to put on a onsie? Cause I'm at a dead loss. We are having a boy.

If you are not just in love with the rice crispie idea you can make regular cupcakes then squirt blue frosting in the middle then top with either chocolate or white frosting so they don't know until they take a bite. For FB maybe you can find a graphic of a blue babys first Christmas stocking and post that.

The only thing I'm coming up with is you could write "Oh Boy!" in blue.

Do you have a name picked out? Both of our names are bible names, so I plan on taking a picture of a verse where the name is found, and posting that for our big reveal. It doesn't have to be a bible verse, though, you could find a book that has the baby's name in it. Or if you haven't picked out a name yet, maybe you could pick a favorite childhood story about a little boy, and take a picture of one of the pages and in the caption put "I wonder if our little boy will be like (insert character from story)" Like you could do Huckleberry Finn and say something like "I wonder if our boy will get into as much trouble as Huck."

I'd do the cupcake idea and cut one in half and post it with a caption of something like "guess the gender"..

I actually really like this idea for facebook! The first thing that came to mind was the nursery rhyme "Little Boy Blue." So I think I'll do this for facebook! Thank you so much for that idea!

I like the rice crispies but the cupcakes are more of a surprise! So I might just have to do that! I could throw people off with using strawberry cupcake batter and then putting bright blue inside. Then perhaps I could do rice crispie pops as a baby shower gift?

I also came up with a staus to go up after the picture on facebook.

I think I'm going to get a piece of posterboard and make a "public service announcement" warning all my friends having girls to lock up their daughters. Saw it while poking around on pinterest from the link! Thanks to Tara for that!
