We made it back last night but I have felt horrible so I'm just now getting back on. My legs were so swollen it felt like the skin was about to rip. I really think I could have accomplished my appt over the phone instead of wasting a 6 hour drive one way, paying for a hotel, eating on the road, paying for dog boarding plus loosing my mind with all 3 kids in the car. My BP was still up at the appt so she added a BP med to the one I was already taking 2 times a day, I only gained 4 pounds in the past month which is good, the baby sounded pretty good and that was all that went on. I will say it was one of the quickest appts ever. She made a comment that the High Risk and Genetics drs had said they were going to try to find me a dr up here so I wonder if she put in as little effort as possible since she thinks I will be switching soon. It's been over 2 weeks and I still have not heard from anyone about an appt so I don't know what is going to happen. I have a month until my next appt so maybe I will hear something soon.

wow 6 hours!! i hope you can find something closer...that is crazy!! on the bright side...uneventful appts is better than one drawn out with any bad news...my last one was a quickie also so i know what you mean but that sucks that you had to drive so far and make all the overnight arrangements for it so hopefully you will hear from them soon

Wow! I give you credit, I'd refuse to do all that for an appointment. Hope you can get something closer!!

6 hours is a long car ride! and with 3 kids in the car! I am surprised you are still sane. It's good that everything sounded good with baby though. Sorry you are feeling so sore. Hopefully you will get some relief soon. I really hope you can find a closer doc. That trip is not gonna get any easier!
