How did you meet your husband?

When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?

How did you meet your husband? We actually met online, through the Yahoo Messenger chat way back in 2006. We finally met in person a few weeks later and I knew right away he was the one!


When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? So many things... a teacher was the first thing though, since my mom was a teacher.

If you could go anywhere in the world where would you go? Oh that's a tough one. There are so many places I want to travel to! I think my topic pick if money was no concern it would be Fiji for sure. I'd love to stay in one of those little huts over the water.

What's your favorite food? Pizza! I love pizza! I very rarely find a pizza that I don't like. My absolute favorite is Giordano's deep dish pizza in Chicago. Yum!

Did you play sports in school? Oh yes. I grew up in a very athletic family. I started doing gymnastics at age 3 (can't wait to do that with Sophia!) and then I played softball, basketball, soccer for awhile, and tennis in high school.

If there were no limits, what would be the first family vacation you want to go on with Sophia? Well I think we're going to try to take a vacation next summer, if everything is going well. We're still debating where, but maybe a cruise! I so want to go on another one and I read that babies actually do really well on cruises, even better than adults.

Have you started arranging her room yet? I wish... Still trying to get all of hubby's office stuff out of there. I did get everything out of the closet and moved her stuff in there. But that's it so far.

How long were you & DH together before he proposed? Before you got married? We had been dating for 3 years, 9 months when he proposed and then we got married 7 months after that.

Are there times when you are afraid of impending motherhood? What is it that you're afraid of if so? Not really. I feel like I've been ready for this part of my life to begin for so long now. I've always had a motherly instinct and I think I'm ready for it. I'm sure I'll freak out a bit at times once she's actually here. The only thing I'm afraid of now is the actual labor part, but I'll get through it! Have to think positively! haha

What are some of your favorite hobbies? I love almost all crafty things. I'm about to start working on making Sophia's Christmas stocking! It's a cross stitch pattern. It will match the style of the one my grandma made me when I was born and then I made one for DH. I'm also making one for our pup, almost done (finally)! I'm also planning on making some things for her nursery.

How many siblings do you have? I'm the oldest of 6. I have 4 brothers and 1 sister. We're also spread far apart in ages. My youngest brother is 9 and he was the ring bearer in my wedding!

What is your favorite Olympic sport to watch? Gymnastics! I grew up doing gymnastics so it's definitely my fave.

What is your favorite movie? Phantom of the Opera! I love musicals. I've seen it on broadway twice and love the movie.

Did you have a boy name picked out before you found out you're having a girl? If so, what was is?

Did you have a boy name picked out before you found out you're having a girl? If so, what was is? We weren't 100% set, but our top name was Landon Dale. Dale was a for sure since it's a family name that all the boys have.

Do you have a homecoming outfit picked out for Sophia? Not yet. I'm thinking I'm going to make a onesie with her initial and a bow. I've seen some really cute ones on Etsy, but I think I could fairly easily make one for cheaper. But I guess we'll see if I get anything really cute at my baby shower that I might just go with.

How many kids would you like to have? I would like 4, but DH says 3. I had told him if we had 3 boys that I wanted to look into adopting a little girl, cause I for sure wanted a daughter. But now we're having a little girl, so we'll probably go with the 3. We'll have to see how it goes, though. Twins also run on both sides of our family, so who knows, we could end up with 4!

I saw your post in the other thread and replied that I don't have the exact link here with me at work, but I bought it on Amazon. I just did a search for cross stitch Christmas stockings and there are a bunch of different ones to choose from. I can add my exact link in later when I get home.

What types of movies do you like? TV shows? Well I already said I love musicals. Other than that, I love chick flicks and dramas. For TV shows, I'm a reality TV junkie. I watch basically all reality shows. Other than those, my favorite shows are Big Bang Theory, Grey's Anatomy and Game of Thrones.

Do you like to read? What types of books? I do and if I get into a book that's all I can do, and then I'll go a long time without reading. I'm actually really looking forward to having more time to read when I'm home with Sophia. I love series books like Harry Potter, Twilight, and Hunger Games.

What do you think Sophia will look like? hair color? eyes? Good question! My guess is she's going to take after me and have green eyes and brown curly hair. MIL also has curly hair, so I think with it on both sides she'll most likely get it. I seriously can't wait to find out what she looks like!
