We made the drive Wednesday so I could get some sleep before my appt today. The kids managed to not drive me insanse so that was a big plus then I was able to spend some time with my family. I got to my appt this morning and found out that the OB office here has not sent the request for medical records so I will be calling them in the morning. My BP was still high and they had a fit when they saw how bad I was swollen. Still no protien in my urine so another plus. I explained that I felt like I had a UTI last week it looked okay but she is going to send it off anyway and wrote me a prescription for Omnicief which always makes me puke. I told her that for the past 3 weeks I have had a major increase in BH's and every few days I have a few hours with 2 or 3 painful contractions despite resting and drinking 2-3 gallons of water each day. When she went to measure my stomach I started having one and she flipped out. I guess she really did not believe me or something. I'm supposed to stay on full pelvic rest and bump my modified bed rest back up to full time but there is no way I can do it with 3 kids. We changed my BP meds to Procardia since it helps with contractions too so I guess I will see how it works. I'm supposed to go to the ER if I have more than 2 in 30 minutes. She wrote a prescription for Tylenol 3 for the times they start and are painful but are spaced out over a few hours. As long as things seem fine I am supposed to go back in 4 weeks but it will be 5 since we have something going on that week. Now I am taking my swollen self to bed since we left at 1 and did not make it back until almost 9 because of the rain.

Sending you some hugs, that sounds like a stressful appt. Sorry to hear about the full pelvic rest and I hope something comes to mind for a solution that will make it easier for you to do it.
Can any of your family come stay for a few weeks and help out?
Oh God...it's so terrible that it's so far away! I mean no wonder you are swollen! Who wouldn't be after hours of driving. I hope the swelling goes down and the BP and BH calm down soon too. Take care and I hope you get your appointments closer to home soon.

The only family I have is my grandparents and I dont think they could make the drive. Even if I could stand my MIL she is raising 2 grandkids that are the same age as my oldest 2. I have only had one full blown contraction since we got back so maybe the procardia will help some. The big boys go back to school Monday which will help out a ton. I need to go online and find Elijah a daycare part-time since he didnt get into pre-k this year. DH is just going to have to get his "mommy pants" on and learn to cook, clean and take care of kids.

I'm sorry your appointment did not go so great. That sucks about the drive there and about the bed rest. I hope the Procardia helps the contractions and you blood pressure.
So sorry Crystal! Having the big boys go back to school monday will help out a lot. Do you make them help out around the house? Maybe they can do a few chores to help ease your stress? Make sure you listen to the Dr's orders about the bed rest! I know it's awful and stressful to deal with but we don't want anything to happen to LO. Sending you Hugs!!
Sorry to hear that you're having to go back on full bed rest. Really praying your contractions and BP's get under control and subside all together.
Hope the full bed rest helps you're swelling too.
If you need to vent anytime you know where to find us.

So sorry to hear! Sending positive thoughts your way. I can only imagine how difficult it must be to have to be on bed rest with little ones already at home.
