A little sad but I didn't want to miss my window. I pumped an ounce and a half and dh gave it to her. She was mad at first but took it soon after. Then I had her feed from the breast so that she didn't forget or something. All went well. Wish time would just slow down...3 weeks already
Great to hear that she took it but IKWYM about time going so fast. At many points, I feel like I wish I could speed through the newborn stage because I am so tired, but other times I wish time would slow down more so I could savor it. So bittersweet how quick they grow!
Thats great she took it! I was just talking to DH today how we need to introduce the bottle soon. Bub has had nothing but the boob since birth! I might try tomorrow, hopefully it will go well.
And yes, totally agreed about the time going fast. B has been the first baby that Im actually enjoying the newborn stage. He's just so sweet and content and I just love him so much. I dont like to share him with DH. I was looking at my girls' baby pictures tonight and I started crying. They dont even look like little babies anymore. Makes me so sad. I know why some people keep having baby after baby because you just want to relive those sweet times over and over again!
Oh yeah, it's so sad! They do grow so quickly and this is always the part where I say I want more babies. Thankfully I get my wits soon after, for a few years anyway It's hard to believe my oldest is a senior in high school and this may have been our first and last holiday season all together as a complete family. She plans to go to the military...scary but should be good for her.
Anyway, back to the bottle business, this seems to have been the perfect time to go ahead and try it out. Phoenix had a much harder time taking it at 5 or so weeks. Ellie never really took the bottle til she was almost a year as I was home with her and Pascale only took the bottle of breastmilk. I'm happy we didn't miss the window and it was really cute having her take the bottle from Papa but...dang time and changes
