Samantha saw Pediatrician this afternoon since I was afraid she was getting an ear infection.
She weighs 8lbs 5oz now
Well good news she doesnt have an ear infection or RSV
Bad news Dr said she couldnt hear much congestion (of course its worse at night) so she said if anything she might just have a virus I was afraid of this, its always just a virus and there's nothing that can be done; Totally pisses me off. So nothing can be done besides what I'm already doing.
The nurse showed me how to use this better bugger sucker. Its a small tube attached to a syringe that you stick into her nose than pull the syringe and it sucks out everything. She didnt get much out but Dr said it could break stuff up and so I could get more out later.
I figured I would be told its just a virus since that seems all that it ever was with my nephews but I didnt want to go the weekend if she had an ear infection.

I hate hearing that it's just a virus since there's nothing you can do about it, but I'm glad she doesn't have an ear infection! Hopefully this new thing will help with the congestion and Samantha will feel better soon.
Yeah, welcome to motherhood. LOL. 85% of the time when I take my kids to the doctor, it's a "virus". At this point, my kids need to be near death for me to pay the 100 bucks it cost to go to the doctor. In all seriousness, I usually don't take my kids unless they have a fever. It's frustrating, but I get it. Antibiotics are totally overprescribed, but it's frustrating to just have to wait it out. But thank God she doesn't have an ear infection. Those are NO fun. Hopefully she's feeling better by now.
They can't do anything for RSV really either...glad it's not and ear infection of RSV. It's tought to rule out when to go to the dr and went not to. I usually wait until they are running a fever or just not acting themselves...which since Samantha's so little you really can't judge by that.
