I friend of mine thinks I'm crazy for using destin and powder at every change. I admit I do change my daughter often (every hour and half even if not used). What do all of you use?

I only use the diaper creams if my littlest ones bum is starting to look red. And then desitin is my favorite.

Same here, I only use powder or desitin if she's starting to get red and rashy looking. Then I'll use it every diaper change til its gone.

I only use a diaper cream if her bottom is looking red, and I don't use powder at all. I heard that if they breath the powder in it is bad for their lungs. I'm not sure if it's true, but it's easier not use it anyway.

I only use desitin when DS has a red bum, or on his night time diaper because he's in it a little longer then the others. No powder...

i only use cream when christian has red bum... never powder, i never understood the benefits of powder....

can i ask why you are changing so often?[/b]
I change my baby this often to prevent a rash. My daughter has never had a rash. And my son didn't either when he was a baby.

I don't use powder or desitin unless he/she has a rash. I also only changed the diaper if it was wet or soiled.

No powder and only Balmex when he's a bit red.

i use A&D and only when there is a rash or its red. But as my son has gotten older and is still in potty training stages we use powder every night in the diaper. Just to keep the diaper area dry just incase the diaper gets full. When we didn't use the powder and he started sleeping thru the night he'd end up with a rash almost every few days. But now since he is controlling things better we usually have dry diapers anyways in the morning, but i'd rather keep using the powder than getting another rash .

I use powder with cornstarch on his neck because it gets raw and moist all the time if I don't.

Otherwise on his bum I use Aveeno diaper ointment if it starts looking red.

I've heard that baby powder is BAD. Weird though. I'm sure it was used on me. I'll have to ask my husband again why it's considered to be bad for babies.
