Do you or did you have a bumper pad in your little one's crib?

We do have one in Grace's and I asked her pedi if it was ok to leave it in there after she started rolling. He said it's fine. I asked because Grace is a rolling maniac!

We had one in the crib until katelyn started sleeping with her nose pressed up agianst the bumper. Asked the ped. and he said to take them out or raise them up a couple of inches. Well if you raise it up it defeats the purpose of having bumpers so we took them out.

No more bumper for us either, Riley had his face pressed into it one night, so out it came.

My babies never pressed their faces up to the bumper, I took it out of their cribs when they used them to jump out of the crib!!!

yea, 14 months now and we still have it... christian nevers puts his face in it (doesnt matter if he did now though.. him being so old...) and he hasnt thought about trying to use it to get out yet (key word: YET)

i just keep it in because it works well with keeping the binki in the crib when he drops it.... i took it out for like a day and it kept falling onto the floor...

Yes, we had a bumper in Ds' crib and will also have one in this baby's crib as well. I know that some doctors did recommend taking them out at a certain time (can't remember when) but we just left it in with Ds.

We use one. I didn't for a while because he moves so much, but when I'd get him out in the monrning he'd have a line from where the bar was against his head and a few times his arm was out of the crib and at a weird angle. So I put it back in, I am paranoid though, so I tucked it way down into the mattress.

no bumpers....took it out for two reasons,

1) couldn't find bumpers with ties long enough to fit around the
bars

2) Isaac would stick his face up against it and freak us out...

LOL!! He still sleeps face down...with his butt straight up in the air!

We never used bumper pads. They sell breathable bumper pads now which I think I will purchase. They are pretty cool

I used bumper pads for both my kids.

Adam was a tiny preemie and could have practically fit through the bars believe it or not, so the bumper pads used to block that from happening ... never pressed his face into them thank goodness.

Sabrina was funny ... she used to prop her foot on TOP of the bumper pads to sleep LOL and when she got bigger she also used them to climb out of the crib ... that was when I took them out LOL

We had one in Beth's crib until she was probably 8 months old. We took it out then b/c she kept pulling it loose..the ties were so short I wasn't really able to knot them on like I would have liked. I miss it though b/c now she can knock her pacifier out of the crib

We took DD's out a little while ago. I tried to take them out at about 7 months because I heard that when they roll to take them out, but in the middle of the night when I checked on her, she had both of her little legs dangling out. She was fast asleep and we had to wake her because her legs were so chunky that the the slats had made an indentation her thighs and we had to turn and bend her legs to get them out. For a moment I thought we were going to have to cut the slats off her crib, but they managed to free and back went the bumpers. We recently took them out when she turned 1 because she would pull the bumpers until she was almost ripping them
