Does anyone have a child with a food allergy? I am so paranoid about it and just wondered what the first sign of it was. Did you know for sure, or was it a guess? Before long we'll be starting the different veggies, and they always say to watch for allergies, but what am I watching for?

Well you know I'm just starting out doing this too but our paperwork from our pediatrician says to look for diarrhea, rash or vomiting as reactions.

Just out of curiosity, do you get paperwork from your dr? We get this whole packet everytime we go full of lots of info....right now it spells out how to do all the solid feedings. Our dr's office is very high tech with touch screens and silent call buttons for the nurses. She'll write the prescription on the computer, press some button and the nurse brings in the printed out prescription. All their medical records are on file in the computer so it can be accesed from anywhere in the building and they use the computer to put everything in...no paper files. Anyway, it's pretty impressive.

Wow! That sounds awesome! No, we don't get a bunch of stuff when we go. They have an info rack tht probably has that stuff on it, but by the time we're on the way out to get it Grace is pretty hacked from having her shots. Thanks for the info!!!
