Do you ever give blood to blood banks or do you just give it when the doctor needs it for lab work?

Does it make you nauseated to give blood?

When you have to give blood, do you watch or look away?

Just when the doc has ordered it for tests. I usually look away but it doesn't bother me.

I was back to giving regularly when I got pregnant with Henry. Then I had to have a transfusion in the hospital, so now I can't give again til next February.

I look away, I hate needles.

I don't get nauseated unless they're taking several vials. Oh, and I nearly passed out at the 1 hour mark of my 3-hour glucose test.

Do you ever give blood to blood banks or do you just give it when the doctor needs it for lab work? I have lab work done all the time b/c of health issues. I donated blood once during my senior year in high school. I don't think I could give blood anymore.

Does it make you nauseated to give blood? No, it happens so often it doesn't phase me. I have an indent in the crook of my left elbow b/c of it. I did pass out when I donated blood that one time, but I think it was b/c I was right at the weight limit and I hadn't really eaten anything. I'm sure I'd be fine now.

When you have to give blood, do you watch or look away? I HAVE to look.
