So within the next day or two I'm taking all my disposables back to walmart, taking the money I get from that, and buying a huge set of cloth diapers & wipes off a friend of mine. Any advice/tips? I'm clueless lol.
I'm sick of leaking sposies and the cost!

all I can say is welcome to the fluffy side

come check out the cloth diapering board Cloth Diapering - JustMommies Message Boards - there are a fab group of ladies who know a lot about cloth diapering (including some ladies from this board too!), and the board is a huge source of knowledge.

Do you know what sort of cloth diapers you are buying off your friend???

I'll FB you

I switched to cloth earlier this year. I'm loving it so far. My only advice would be, don't just settle on one type and never try anything else, because you may not know what you're missing. Oh, and be prepared to play around with laundry, because until you get a system worked out, it can be a little frustrating trying to figure out your wash routine. Good luck!

YES... definitely... some people fall in love with the first diaper they try, others it can take a few different brands and/or types to find the one that works.. and some people (like me.. lol) have a zillion brands and types.. just because they can't resist buying

Ok I asked her what brands she said kawaiis, sunbums, and sweet baby. There are 30 all together and extra inserts.

i've heard a lot of good things about Kawaii lots of the ladies on the cloth diapering board use them.

when do you get your hands on the cloth diapers???? you must post some fluffy pictures for me.. lol.

I think those brands are all pocket diapers - so the absorbency comes in the form of inserts - which you put inside the cover [hence the 'pocket' aspect]. I REALLY like them, because you can adjust the absorbency easily, and no absorbent material needs to get against the skin... Most diapers now have a stay dry layer, which wicks all the moisture away from the skin... often it's microfleece, which is nice and soft. It's weird the first few times yo utake the diaper off and it actually feels dry on the area that's against the skin...
