Nicholas goes to work with me. At this point I wouldn't even consider day care. I want to wait til he is old enough to talk, and even then I'll be really picky. We have a lot of bad day cares around here.
Thank you *Kiliki* for my siggy!
**Expecting our little miss or mister June 2014!**
My son went to daycare when he was little. We had one bad experience, and I pulled him out right away. DD goes to daycare now. I love hers. They have awesome security, cameras, the whole nine yards. I can always go and look at the video any time I want. I've gone in at various times, and it is so calm. The rest of the daycares here aren't open when I need them, or they are a bit scary.
As much as I like DD's daycare, I wish I could keep her with me all day. It's too bad that is a pipe dream for me.
We don't have our kids in daycare. I would never try and make a mom feel guilty about putting their child in daycare, but DH and I do everything within our power for me to be able to stay home. It's a priority for us. Over having that extra money, or even living in our home state. We live in BFE Alaska so that we can afford for me to stay home.
That said, if circumstances forced me to work, I'd first try and find I job I could do at home, then one I could have alternate hours from DH, and finally then I would look at an education focused daycare center, like Kiddie Academy.
