My girls have a few shows that they enjoy but I try not to have them sit in front of it all day.

As for limits...yeah, there are quite a few shows I purposely avoid having them watch even though they are considered "Kids shows"

I let mikaela watch almost all the cartoon type shows she likes. i try to steer away from barney, b/c
i just personally cant stand barney. also max & ruby....that max rabbit makes mikaela act like him and
ive had to ban her watching that anymore! he only says 1 word answers and is always acting up and she
started doing that so i cut the show off from her viewing from now on.

i limit reg. TV that she sees us watching of course. if theres anything showing too much sexual stuff
or violence i get her to leave the room or i turn if off.

she was in the room alot while i watched my soaps...and she began to know the names of
characters!!! i didnt even think she was paying attention to it at all and then one day i was
watching days of our lives and shes like '"whats wrong with BO?" uuhhh.... lol...so have been
giving her a coloring activity or let her play on the porch where i can watch her while i watch that show.
goodness.....!!!

When the boys were younger, I never let them watch Spongebob....but now that they are older, they watch it all the time. The sad part is, Gracie watches it too.... There is a show on Nickelodeon called "Mr. Meaty" that we had to BAN!! It was disgusting and I told the kids they are never allowed to watch it....

WTH is Mr. Meaty? It sounds odd.

I don't care for that Max and Ruby show AT ALL! IMO, Max is a little freaking brat and no older sister would ever have that much patience. And where the heck is the mother?

lol, I actually just ranted about this show in our PR, I really don't like it.

Marshall only really watches shows that are on Direct TV's Baby First Television. I love these shows because they are all educational and work on things that will give him a "head start" with preschool. He usually watches about an hour of TV per week.
