If so, who does and do you take it? If you don't agree, do you tell them that or not say anything?

Not so much anymore, but boy when Caleb was born, everyone (family, friends) was coming out of the woodworks to give me advice. It got to be overwhelming

I just let it go then. Tried it to see if it would work. If it didn't, I didn't use it anymore. If it did, great. Now, I just let it go in one ear and out the other. I'm his mom and I know what's best for my child now.

In the beginning yes, and it depended. Usually I would say thanks for the tip and then just decide later if I wanted to try it. Now, I ask for advice--people don't offer

My mom is always trying to give me advice, but I wouldn't even call it advice really. Think of the most stupid, common sense warnings that any idiot would know and those are the kinds of things my mom is always telling me. I swear it wouldn't surprise me one bit to hear "Just so you know, you shouldn't let them play with razor blades" come out her mouth.

LOL. People in the very beginning used to give me lots a advice mostly about discipline (not sure why) and I would just nod and then move on, but now generally people don't unless I ask, so that is really nice.

My mom has tried many times to give me 'advice'. The problem is, her advice is extremely antiquated and frankly things have changed since she had babies. I hate to hurt her feelings as I know she means well, so I usually just say 'I'll try that' and end the conversation.
