Currently, we have a powershot A620 and it's a great digital camera. It has tons of modes including video. The quality is good, but the newer models are even better.

In about a month, I'm surprising my husband with an SLR. I'm looking at Canon or Nikon. I still have to make the decision as to which I'm going to go with. Both are great cameras.

I have a Canon A450, but I really want to upgrade to a Canon A630.

I love my camera, it's very compact, light and easy to handle, takes great shots in good lighting, fast start up, fast in between shots, and I love all the features. It's very durable too.
Things I don't like: low-light shots are not great, I always have to lighten them and then they look grainy. It's only a 4MP which is fine most of the time, but I'd like to have the option of blowing up a pic if I wanted to. And the flash was too bright for me, so I had to tape some white tissue paper over it, and now it's perfect.

I have a Sony digital camera that my MIL bought for us as a gift a few years ago. I like the camera because the photo quality is great, but it's kind of a bulky camera.
