Well Andy and I decided to drive over a few towns to get some baby clothes, bc we thought he wouldn't be as big as thought. Well it was just him and I we ate and went to see Saw 2 well during Saw 2 I started cramping up and stuff. Well we got some clothes and went and picked up Payge. We came home and at 10 I was still cramping worse this time. and I went to sleep. Payge was restless and I kept waking up and then at 3:30 I got up and told Andy was going to try to shower and get the cramping to stop. I tried to go to the bathroom and realized that I was in labor. I went in the room and told Andy that it was time. We called my grandmother and brought Payge over there. I got to the hospital at 4:30 and was admited. At 11:00 my dr told me that I was having the baby that day. I was like holy crap.
They came in and broke my water and I got my epidural. Well we waited and waited and I was dialating without feeling a thing (wonderful feeling). Well then I started feeling my whole left side. I told them I was feeling it. Then they gave me a dose and I still started feeling it but my contractions had stopped. I then could not feel my legs but I could feel every contraction and Shane trying to move down. IT HURT!!!!! I started crying. I told them it was time to push. I pushed when I was 8 cm. I told them I had to. They told me that I could try to push through during contractions. Well.... I felt like it took me forever. Then he said one more push and you will have his head down. I pushed and got his head down and then had him out in one more contraction. It was such a wonderful feeling.
Andrew Shane entered the world at 8:43 pm November 22, 2005. Weighing in a whopping 8 lb. 8 oz. at 36 weeks. His breathing was too fast so he was transfered to the NICU. EEK!!! I worried all night well when I could keep my eyes open. That morning we went up to the NICU to check on him. He was perfect. I can't find my digital camera. GRRR!!! I want a good pic of all of us.
Payge is so happy. She keeps saying what's that. Who's that. She thought she hurt him last night and she cried. I will post pics as soon as I get some.
Thanks for sharing your story! I'm so happy for you. I'm glad you had him when you did...he's a nice big boy! I can't wait to see those chubby cheeks of his!
